Junior Inter-Regional Regatta
Sudbury has had 3 of its junior squad chosen to represent the Eastern region in this years JIRR, to be held at Nottingham on Saturday 26th April. Nick Scott will be rowing in the J14 single category, after finishing joint first with a rower from Star Clu
Good Friday Opening
You are all most welcome to attend and to bring along family and friends to celebrate the official club opening and as part of this we will be unveiling the new land purchased this year.
HORR and Vet’s Head
If someone asked you what sporting event takes place in London and involves over 3,600 competitors you may well suggest the London Marathon or perhaps the London-Surrey cycle race.
Alton Water Spring Head
Sudbury Rowing Club entered some veteran (or “Masters” as they are now known) crews for this event, which was organised by the recently formed Alton Rowing Club. Most of the opposition was from local rowing clubs, including Beccles Rowing Club, Deben Rowi
Pudding Races 2013
The annual Pudding Races are taking place this Saturday (21 December 2013) and competitors should get to the club at 8:30 AM, ready in fancy dress.

Here we are in mid Regatta season with a busy few weeks ahead so I thought it was time for another update.
Sudbury Triumphs in Early Regatta Season
Sudbury crews left last weekend’s Peterborough Regatta with an extremely impressive total of seven category wins.
Sudbury Juniors Dominate Olympic Course
Five Sudbury junior crews raced at Dorney Lake, site of the Olympic Rowing event, in the Ball Cup Regatta.

Introduction Spring is officially her although it seems well disguised as winter.
Head to Head
Kick off the year with a Head to Head on the Stour. Racing over 2K with 1400m downstream a fast spin followed by 600m upstream.

Introduction Another rowing year has ended with the recent AGM and a new one is now under way.
Pudding Races
Don Christmas hats and plenty of layers this December before bundling the in-laws up to the club for a morning of friendly (yet intensely competitive) racing in scratch crews.

As tradition dictates, the club awards were awarded at the annual dinner last month.

On behalf of the club I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to another hugely successful regatta.

We were represented in three crews over this weekend at the Head of the River Races on the tideway.

The end of the winter season is approaching with the landmark of the Head of the River Races. Our thoughts will soon turn from icy mornings to warm sun, light evenings and the Regatta season.
Farewell Ted Deed
It is with great regret that we report the passing of Ted Deed on 31 January, 2012.

On Saturday 27th March the Mens crew of David Bull, Sam Hogsbjerg, Louie Watson, Paul Sant, Paul Adams, Lee Adams, Charles Howard and Rob Frost, coxed by Holly Adams took on the might of the Head of the River. The boat race course but from Mortlake to Put
Lea Regatta
Sunday 25th April - the first regatta of the season and Sudbury took some of their junior crews and novice mens crew off to Lea. The day ended with 3 wins - George Cook and Ellie Adams with a strong win in the J13 double against the Lea crew.
