Sudbury rowers explore the Zêzere

The seven Sudbury rowers pose for a group photo on a lichen-covered bridge over a river, at the bottom of a steep river valley, whose sides a partly rocky but mostly covered with trees that look well adapted to fairly dry conditions.

Seven Sudbury masters rowers headed to to the Zêzere area of Northern Portugal last week to enjoy three days of rowing and socialising with folk from various European rowing clubs.

This area is a hidden gem, well off the well beaten tourist track, offering rowing on the spectacular Zêzere river. The tour is organised by very the hospitable and well organised Ginásio Figueirense.

Portugal Rowing Tour

Three members of Sudbury Rowing Club journeyed to Portugal in mid August to take part in the Portugal Rowing Tour, hosted by Ginásio Figueirense Rowing Club, and joining other participants from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Ireland, UK and Portugal.

Sudbury rowers excel at the British Rowing Masters Championships

A small team of four masters rowers from Sudbury Rowing Club competed at the British Rowing Masters National Championships at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham on Sunday 11 June in glorious, but very hot conditions.

Success for our Adaptive Rowers
