Henley Women’s Regatta 2022

Amelia Moule and Martha Bullen had an amazing weekend of racing when they competed in the Aspirational doubles event at the Henley Women’s Regatta starting with the time trial on Friday where they qualified as a seeded crew, finishing fourth out of 33 entries!!

On Friday afternoon they raced in the 33 degree heatwave to win against a good crew from Birmingham Uni with an easily verdict!

In the quarter finals on Saturday they raced another good crew, from Bewl Bridge, again with an easily verdict, making it through to the Sunday!

In the semi finals they raced Reading who won the time trial for the event. SRC took the lead off the start and the crews stayed side by side for the entire race!

Unfortunately the Sudbury crew just missed out by 3/4 of a length.
This is a massive achievement for SRC as this is only the second ever Sudbury crew to make the semi-finals at a Henley regatta!
