British Rowing Junior and Senior Club Championships 2024
Sudbury Rowing Club enjoyed a successful weekend at the British Rowing Junior and Senior Club Championships.
Congratulations to Amelia Moule, Martha Bullen, Byron Bullen, and Harry Moule, who won gold at the British Senior Rowing Championships on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who helped with coaching and coxing, and to Jonny for finding substitute cox Megan Marshall-Horne, who did a great job.
Well done to Rory Fildes, who performed strongly in the J16 single sculls, finishing fourteenth in the time trial out of more than fifty competitors, and progressing to the C final – a big step forward.
Congratulations also to Byron Bullen and Harry Moule, who competed in the Championship double sculls. They finished sixth in their time trial, narrowly missing out on the A final, but went on to win the B final convincingly.
Martha Bullen and Amelia Moule had a similar race in the women’s Championship double sculls, also finishing sixth in the time trial and just missing out on the A final. They produced a strong performance in the B final, winning it convincingly.
Sophie Brown competed in the AR 1-2 adaptive women’s single sculls, putting in a solid time trial and winning silver in the final – a fantastic result.
It was a very successful weekend of racing for Sudbury at the British Rowing Championships.

The biggest ever British Rowing Junior Championships was held over the weekend of 19-21 July at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham.
