Weather impacts play
The recent cold snap has done the unthinkable and frozen our lovely stretch of river Stour. Despite attempts by a brave few last weekend to break through the ice the subsequent temperatures have resulted in a complete freeze of the river and hence also our activities on it.
On Saturday (10 Jan) we will be running coaching sessions on the ergs, with video, so we can improve technique. Some members are also planning runs (along the old railway track to Long Melford) or long cycle rides.
We are anticipating the situation to be the same on Sunday and will be running erg coaching sessions for all our Sunday beginners and juniors. Watch this site for updates on the conditions over the weekend ……..

The Head of the River Race 25 March 2006 A wholly successful and enjoyable day for the mens Novice 8. With the high start position bequeathed by last years’ crew there was both a promise of a fast time (with the benefit of the stream) and the danger of
