Sudbury rows the Isis at Oxford City Rowing Club’s Regatta and Sprint
Members from Sudbury Rowing Club enjoyed taking part in Oxford City Rowing Club’s Royal Regatta and Sprint events over a fine summer weekend 19/20 August.
Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to row on this famous stretch of the Thames, known as the Isis locally. Tayla Bentley and Victoria Burgess were particularly impressive in winning the Women’s Pair event over 1k.
The Oxford event also provided a relatively rare opportunity to adaptive members Valerie Ingham-Boor and Luke Payne to compete in a well run regatta. Everyone else had a lot of fun, particularly those who came together to form a scratch mixed eight for the Sunday 350m sprint event, narrowly losing to an Oxford college crew from Wolfson College by a canvas.

Nottingham City Regatta
The Women’s Double Scull of Bev Goodchild (Ipswich RC) and Jen Titterington raced at Nottingham City Regatta at the weekend, over 2000m.

Peterborough Summer Regatta (2016)
After the success of the Sudbury Regatta last weekend, members of Sudbury Rowing Club were keen to increase their wins at the Peterborough Summer Regatta.

St Neots Regatta
Sudbury RC continued their sprint regatta season with a trip to St Neots. Spread over two days, the racing consists of 1000m on Saturday and a 500m sprint on Sunday.
