A weekend at the lakes: Ball Cup and Nottingam Masters & Club
Sudbury sent crews to two rowing lakes over the weekend 11-12 May.
Racing at Nottingham Masters and Club Regatta saw good wins for Harry Moule and Byron Bullen in the open doubles on the Saturday, and Michelle Hurd in the W Mas C singles on the Sunday.
That same Sunday, the junior squad raced at the Ball Cup at Dorney Lake, achieving some fantastic results.
Lilly Krohn raced in both the W J15 singles, winning gold, and the W J16 singles, winning silver: an amazing achievement.
Several of the juniors got their first taste of racing. Ted raced in the J13 singles and finished fourth in an extremely close final. Leo and Oli raced in the J15 doubles in another fast and close race.
Polly, Oli, Hamish, Leo and Ted (cox) competed the J15 coxed quads and finished second in their heat, progressing to the final, in which they finished sixth.

Ball Cup (South)
Sunday 12 May saw a number of Juniors competing at the Ball Cup (South) on the Olympic Rowing lake at Dorney, Windsor.
Nottingham Masters
Sudbury Rowing Club attended two separate events last weekend, The Ball Cup, for juniors, held at Dorney Lake, Bucks, and Nottingham Masters Regatta, held at the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont.

Ball Cup 2018
Sudbury Rowing Club attended the Ball Cup Junior Regatta, Eton Dorney and competed on the 2012 Olympic Rowing course.
