Wins and strong finishes at Norwich Head

Our Masters H Crew of Andrew Blit, Jeremy Milbank, Keith Paxman and Mike Arnott, nearing the end of the 5km race.

Sudbury Rowing Club made the journey north over the weekend to compete at the Norwich Head on the River Yare. The event is raced over a five-kilometre course and caters for juniors, open, and veteran crews.

Sudbury rowers, Amelia Moule and Tim Hysom, were the fastest in their singles events, and Harry Moule picked up a win in the junior's event over a five-kilometer course with a time of twenty-two minutes and fifty-one seconds. Several other Sudbury crews, which included adaptive rowers, finished strongly within seconds of wins. In the spirit of collaboration, the club also fielded a composite quad crew with Yare Boat Club, who came in third fastest in Division Three with a time of 19:55 minutes.

The Club welcomes experienced rowers as well as beginners – places are still available for their upcoming 'Learn to Row' courses.
