Recreational Rowing

After completing our learn to row course you might be more interested in recreational rowing than racing.

At Sudbury we have an active group of recreational rowers. We currently meet on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings with opportunities to row at other times by arrangement, daylight permitting. You are also welcome to join our Saturday morning training sessions and other club events. Volunteering at our annual regatta is also great fun.

More stable or racing boats are available depending on the rower’s ability.

There are also opportunities to join rowing tours organised by British Rowing and other clubs and organisations in the UK and abroad. To join the longer distance tours you will need a good level of fitness and rowing and coxing experience, all of which we can help you with.
