136th Sudbury International RegattaSaturday 6 August 2016
29/07/16: Entries to Sudbury Regatta are filling up and we presently anticipate a very full day !
We will do our best to squeeze as much racing in as we can and to accommodate all requests. However, it may be that we will be unable to match everyone or that some events are not viable. Please let us know if you have an entry you would like us to give especial priority to, or an individual who must race if at all possible (for example, the trailer driver, deserving club administrator, returning from holiday especially for this event). We cannot promise to honour every request but will do our best with the information we have.
135th Sudbury International RegattaSaturday 1 August 2015
The Sudbury Regatta takes place on the first Saturday of August each year. The 2015 regatta took place on 1 August, and was blessed with the usual glorious weather.
The 650m Rowing course is raced upstream from a stake boat start along a course characterised by some challenging bends. One of the highlights of the regatta is the sprint eights event, racing for hip-flasks along the last and straighter 350m.
We provide state of the art spectator facilities, particularly in the stadium section of the course with wonderful home-baked cakes, burgers, a hog roast, ice cream and locally brewed beer.
Praise for the 135th Sudbury Regatta
